Open Access and Article Processing Charge
Open Access
Every paper in Conference Proceedings in Science and Management (CPSM) is free to read, download, and reuse from the day it is published, with no subscription, registration, or embargo. Papers are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0): anyone may copy, share, and adapt the work for any purpose, including commercial use, provided the authors and the original publication are credited. Authors keep their copyright.
This page is the only place where CPSM publishes its charges.
Who Pays
Readers pay nothing. Authors are never invoiced by CPSM. The conference, or a payer it nominates, pays an article processing charge (APC) for each paper and abstract published in its volume. A conference may recover the cost through its registration fee. There are no submission fees, proposal fees, page charges, or color charges.
Charges never influence editorial decisions. A paid invoice does not secure acceptance, and a paper rejected at the cross-check is not charged.
Article Processing Charges
| Article type | Inaugural rate, now in force | Standard rate |
|---|---|---|
| Proceeding Paper | USD 35 | USD 70 |
| Abstract | USD 15 | USD 30 |
| Editorial content: preface, Statement of Peer Review, Conference Report | Free | Free |
The inaugural rate applies until CPSM is indexed in Scopus or until three years after its first publication, whichever comes first. The change to the standard rate will be announced at least three months ahead. A conference whose proposal is accepted while the inaugural rate is in force pays the inaugural rate for its whole volume, even if publication falls after the change.
The APC covers the cross-check of peer review, copyediting and reference checking, typesetting, Crossref DOI registration, permanent hosting, metadata distribution, preservation, and the handling of any later correction or complaint.
Volume Discounts
| Papers in the volume | Discount on all paper charges |
|---|---|
| 30 or more | 10% |
| 60 or more | 20% |
A rate agreed for a particular volume is set out in its Publishing Agreement and is never higher than the published rate.
Waivers
Full or partial waivers are available where the conference is hosted in, or most of its authors work in, a country in Group A or Group B of the Research4Life eligibility list. A conference may also ask for a waiver on a specific paper whose authors cannot meet the cost. Waiver requests are made with the conference proposal, with a short statement of need, and are decided by the Editor-in-Chief before the proposal is accepted. Waiver decisions are made separately from editorial decisions.
Invoicing and Payment
- A volume is invoiced one issue at a time. Each issue is paid in full before its production starts, and no issue is published against an unpaid invoice.
- Payers in India are invoiced in Indian rupees, with GST at 18%.
- Payers outside India are invoiced in US dollars, without GST, under a Letter of Undertaking for export of services. A 10% transaction charge is added to cover international transfer costs.
- Invoices are issued only by SHORAM Editorial Services, from the shoramedits.com domain. CPSM has no agents and does not authorize anyone else to collect charges on its behalf. Please report any other request for payment to info@shoramedits.com.
Other Income
CPSM has no other source of income: no subscriptions, advertising, sponsorship, or grants. Ownership and funding are described on the Ownership and Funding page.
Author Rights
Authors may deposit any version of their paper, including the published PDF, in any repository or website at any time, and should link it to the paper's DOI. Authors may also publish an extended version in a journal, as set out on the Editorial Policies page.
