Publication Ethics
Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement
Conference Proceedings in Science and Management (CPSM) follows the COPE Core Principles, the CSE White Paper on Promoting Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing (COPE, DOAJ, OASPA, WAME). This statement sets out what the series expects of everyone involved in a volume. The detailed rules are on the Editorial Policies page.
Authors
- Submit original work that has not been published and is not under consideration elsewhere, and disclose any preprint.
- Report methods and data accurately, in enough detail for others to repeat the work.
- List as authors all those, and only those, who meet the ICMJE criteria.
- Cite all sources, and obtain permission for third-party material.
- Declare funding, conflicts of interest, data availability, and any use of generative AI.
- Obtain ethics approval and consent where the research requires them.
- Present the paper at the conference.
- Tell the volume editors or the editorial office promptly about any error found after submission or publication.
Reviewers
- Review only work within their expertise, and decline where they have a conflict of interest.
- Judge the work on its merits, without personal, commercial, or institutional bias.
- Keep the manuscript confidential, and do not use it for their own advantage or upload it to generative AI tools.
- Give a clear recommendation with constructive written reasons, within the agreed time.
- Report any suspicion of plagiarism, fabrication, or duplicate submission to the volume editors.
Volume Editors
- Run peer review to the series minimum, fairly and independently.
- Declare conflicts of interest and pass any conflicted paper to another editor.
- Protect the confidentiality of reviewers and manuscripts.
- Respect the limits on papers by editors and from their own institutions.
- Sign a Statement of Peer Review that is accurate in every figure.
- Cooperate with any correction, retraction, or misconduct inquiry.
The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Advisory Board
- Make decisions on scholarly merit and ethics alone, without regard to the authors' nationality, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, political views, or institution, and without regard to any payment.
- Cross-check each volume independently of the conference that produced it.
- Declare conflicts of interest and step aside where one exists. The Editor-in-Chief's recusal rules are published on the Editorial Team page.
- Investigate allegations of misconduct under COPE guidance, and correct the record openly.
The Publisher
- Keep commercial matters apart from editorial decisions.
- Publish all fees in one place and keep every paper free to read.
- Preserve the published record, and never delete or silently change a paper.
- Disclose its ownership, funding, and any conflict of interest, as set out on the Ownership and Funding page.
Misconduct
CPSM treats plagiarism, fabrication or falsification of data or images, duplicate publication, manipulated peer review, paper-mill activity, citation manipulation, and authorship for sale as misconduct. Anyone may report a concern to info@shoramedits.com. Concerns are investigated under the COPE flowcharts and may lead to rejection, correction, an expression of concern, or retraction, as set out on the Corrections, Retractions, and Errata page. Complaints about the handling of a case follow the Complaints and Appeals procedure.
